Saturday, September 6 was a steamy one, but the weather didn’t stop the Music Boosters and the SPHS Marching Tigers from working together for a stellar performance at the first TOB competition of the season.
The day started with the band practicing on the field, and the Boosters preparing both the trailer and the food that keeps the band moving.
What’s a Load-In without a little Pit Stop? The Boosters do it all – from Tetris-Like organization to a little Tire Changing.
The Band was Very Appreciative of the Outstanding Culinary Offerings!
And Just Like That – the Trailer is Loaded – with a little MacGuyver Help from Our Booster President.
At Raritan, it was hot in the stands, but even hotter on the field, when the Tigers Entered the Stadium!
The wind didn’t do the sails any favors this time, but the Tigers performed admirably – earning a score of 75.30 – and First Place for their first performance in Group 2-O Class! Congratulations Marching Tigers!
Meanwhile, after the show – it’s time to reload the trailer and get everything back to the school. The weather was turning, so the tarps came out to cover everything before the rain started.
